Nurses who care for patients with cancer are constantly exposed to stress. This can have many adverse effects on nurses such as changes in eating habits or even can lead to depression. Thankfully nurses can learn techniques to manage and control stress.
Join by Dr. Claire Edmonds and Jean Jackson as they lead- the Wellspring’s Working in the Trenches: Managing Burn-Out and Self-Care to the Professional Caregiver course. This workshop is designed to help nurses identify and cope with occupational stress.
Participants will earn 0.25 credits under the Therapeutic and Supportive Relationships domain. The online portion of the course runs from September 25, 2012 to October 9, 2012. The workshop will take place at the Wellspring Westkirk House at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre on October 23, 2012.
